Trusting God...

I know a woman who is trusting God. This woman's daughter had breast cancer, and now the cancer has metastasized into the bone marrow. We prayed with her and for her after church today. She is trusting God for the healing and the health and the well being of her baby girl.

Trusting The Lord...

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD
And whose trust is the LORD."
Jeremiah 17:7 (NASB)

As I was driving home from Bible study tonight, this verse was at the forefront of my thoughts. I felt drawn to come home and write in my journal just exactly who and what I am trusting the Lord for.

Rebel Without A Cause?

I thought the James Dean movie was entertaining. If you have not seen it, I would definitely say go and see it at least once. It is an interesting story with a great cast of characters.

Today I was trying to get back into some sort of a groove and I pulled up Mark Driscoll to listen to. Generally, I had been listening to him on iTunes, but since I do not have that everywhere I have gotten into the habit of listening on the Mars Hill Church website directly. This morning I found a series from 2007 entitled The Rebel's Guide To Joy. As I tend to have an affinity for rebels and in some ways aspire to be one (and Rebels was my high school mascot), I began with the first in the series.

Since I am playing with the whole idea of embedded items, here it is. I promise that this is not an an incurable habit. I am only putting in the audio, but if you click the above link you can watch the videos in the series.

Top 10 Favorite Movies

That's a rather daunting task, isn't it? I mean, the AFI gives themselves enough room and lists 100, and I think that I can limit myself to only 10? Well, I'm going to try. My criteria is really just those movies that I can watch over and over again and never grow tired of them...

In no particular order...

1. Barefoot In The Park
2. To Kill A Mockingbird
3. Rear Window
4. That Touch of Mink
5. The Rage of Paris
6. The Long Hot Summer
7. Jaws
8. The Philadelphia Story
9. Moonstruck
10. It's A Wonderful Life

Some honorable mentions:

> Goodbye, Mr. Chips
> While You Were Sleeping
> Dr. Zhivago
> LOTR
> Star Wars
> Indiana Jones and such
> The Princess Bride

Ok...I was at a loss of what to pick, but you have to admit that this one is fun!
